IPC Technology Minimises Blockages at Sewage Works
A new off-the-shelf variable-speed drive from Control Techniques and Emerson has been used to minimise blockages at Scottish Water's Levenhall Sewage Pumping Station. Scottish Water recently identified that its Levenhall site had significant issues with pump blockages.
Often, blockages and ragging needed to be dealt with two to three times each week. It was therefore an ideal site to try out the low-cost intelligent pump control (IPC) technology from Control Techniques and Emerson.
