Serial Analysis Module for Automotive Applications
Tektronix has introduced an enhanced serial analysis module - the DPO4AUTOMAX - aimed at applications in the automotive sector and available from Thurlby Thandar Instruments. The DPO4AUTOMAX adds the Flexray bus to the list of protocols that it supports. It can be used with the Tektronix DPO4000 and MSO4000 series oscilloscopes as well as the 4000B series.
The module enables triggering on packet-level information on CAN, LIN and Flexray buses, as well as providing analytical tools such as digital views of the signal, bus views, packet decoding, search tools, packet decode tables with time-stamp information, and eye-diagram analysis software. Bus display and decoding, as well as event tables and event searching, enable full verification of data streams along with identification of both digital and analogue errors.
The mixed-signal analysis capabilities of the Tektronix 4000, available with bandwidths from 350MHz up to 1GHz series, make it a suitable tool for investigation into complex bus environments. The full Tektronix range of mixed-signal oscilloscopes from the 2000 series up to the 5000 series are available from Thurlby Thandar Instruments.
