Rubic Gaze Features Interactive Data Rendering

Mindtree has launched Rubic Gaze, an intuitive business intelligent framework that enables rendering of data on top of live maps, including Google and Bing, for interactive data visualisation. Rubic Gaze provides actionable geospatial intelligence that enables geographically distributed organisations to cost-effectively analyse regional performance and optimise their localised business strategies. It is said to offer solutions to commonly faced business intelligence visualisation challenges, such as integration of business data onto maps, navigational issues and complexity of analysis.

Featuring drill-up and drill-down capabilities, Rubic Gaze displays rich visualisations and a comprehensive view of data. It is compatible with large multi-touch panels, enabling fingertip and touch navigation and allows simple geospatial analysis by removing excess content. Scott Staples, head of Mindtree's data and analytics solutions group, said: 'The business intelligence community has changed the way data is presented to and consumed by end users. 'The days of tabular and cross-tabular reports are over.

'Today, businesses demand dashboards that offer key performance indicators for specific business functions and drill-down capabilities. 'Rubic Gaze helps organisations interactively apply this approach at a localised level, by superimposing metrics onto maps and empowering businesses to measure, analyse and report performance across various locations. 'This enables informed decision-making on future investments and strategies for different geographies,' he added. Rubic Gaze can read data from any source including flat files, XMLs and relational databases, performing the transposition of data from disparate sources onto maps with ease.

Mindtree has equipped Rubic Gaze with a user-friendly menu that enables self-service business intelligence, eliminating the dependency of business users on the IT team. The Rubic Gaze framework is based on open-source technologies that allow for ease of integration into existing technology environments, providing investment protection. The open-source technologies also relieve customers of the licensing costs commonly associated with geospatial components that are either sold standalone or as part of BI tool stacks.

Rubic Gaze is completely customisable, enabling customers in segments such as retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG) and travel and transportation to deploy only the features and functionalities required by their business. Rubic Gaze is the latest addition to the Mindtree range of Rubic frameworks - a set of re-usable components that provide structured approaches to managing various design aspects of BI implementations, increasing the quality of the solution and improving time-to-market.
