Lightweight and Compact RFID LF Bluetooth Reader

GAO RFID has introduced its wireless 125kHz RFID Bluetooth reader with low power consumption and full portability, which is suitable for use in security patrol, mining and finance systems. This portable RFID LF Bluetooth reader, model 221013, is compatible with most kinds of LF (125 kHz) cards compliant with EM4100, EM4102, TK4100 and TK4102. It has low power consumption, light weight and a compact size and a free SDK.

It uploads and downloads tag IDs to computers or PDAs via Bluetooth2.0 in a real-time mode. This RFID reader can work with smart phones or PDAs that run under Windows CE 5.0 or Windows Mobile 5.0 or 6.0. It has a built-in antenna providing for a long effective read range of up to 7cm at a fast identifying time of 0.1s and a high communication baud rate of 9600bps. A keyboard wedge allows for the data to be uploaded in real time and viewed using Microsoft Excel or Word. The reader is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery which allows for up to 7,000 tags reads.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
