Inductive Shorties for Space-Limited Applications

Balluff's new 8x8 inductive shorties are claimed to offer reliable performance monitoring in applications where space is a premium. Suitable applications include the position control of miniaturised linear units, small part detection in robotics and automation and the grab control of pick-and-place modules.

The shorties are housed in a metal casing with an overall length of only 20mm, offering a 2mm sensing range. Both cable and connector versions are available with M5 and M8 standard or pigtail options.
