High-Pressure Relief Valve Enables Flow Control
A high-pressure relief valve designed for flow-control applications that require both a high relief pressure and a high flow rate in an ultra-compact package has been introduced by Lee Products. The Lee Hi-Q valve is capable of relief pressures up to 5,400psid and flow rates of more than 19GPM, so is suited to critical flow applications. These could, for example, include aero-engine fuel pumps, aircraft flight controls, Formula 1 or rally cars, as well as oil-tool applications.
The design includes a side inlet flow path that helps to minimise the installation boss size and weight, resulting in a valve that measures 98.5 x 23mm and weighs 200g. The Hi-Q valve is available in a range of cracking pressures, from 1,000 up to 5,400psid, and is designed for nominal system pressures up to 5,000psi and system peak pressures up to 6,750psi. Each valve is 100-per-cent tested and inspected to ensure reliable and consistent performance in the most critical flow-control applications.
