Electric Actuators for Photovoltaic Installation

Auma Actuators has provided robust automation technology capable of withstanding extreme weather conditions for a solar tracking installation sited 1,700m above sea level in the Swiss mountains. The photovoltaic installation for energy generation commissioned by Repower is located in Graubuenden, Switzerland.

Auma actuators were identified as suitable for the solar application thanks to their ability to withstand the harsh climactic conditions of strong winds, snow and low temperatures. The electric actuators have been installed to optimally align the installation's 45 trackers towards the sun, both on the horizontal and vertical level.
