Vishay Intertechnology’s VJ Non-Magnetic Surface-Mount MLCCs Honored With CEM 2011 Editors’ Choice Award
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE:VSH) today announced that the company’s VJ series of non-magnetic surface-mount multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) has received a China Electronic Market (CEM) magazine 2011 Editors’ Choice Award in the category of “The Most Competitive Capacitor Product in China.”
Winners of the CEM 2011 Editors’ Choice Awards were chosen based on their sales performance in the Chinese market and technological innovation. Vishay’s VJ series of non-magnetic MLCCs was selected because of its demonstrated success in the capacitors category.
Electronic components used in MRI equipment or nearby require non-magnetic components that do not interfere with magnetic fields. To meet this need, Vishay’s non-magnetic VJ series MLCCs are manufactured with non-magnetic materials and are 100% safety-screened for magnetic properties before final packaging. The devices are available with C0G (NPO) and X7R/X5R dielectrics, each with a wide range of case sizes, voltage ratings, and capacitance values.
Vishay’s VJ series non-magnetic devices feature a wet build process and a reliable Noble Metal Electrode (NME) system. The non-magnetic capacitors can be assembled with epoxy bonding or in an SMT process using IR reflow. Proven to have less interference than standard capacitors, which contain magnetic materials, the non-magnetic series devices are optimized for filter circuits in MRI equipment, implantable medical devices, ferromagnetic-sensitive instrumentation, electronic test systems, and high-end audio amplifiers.
The CEM 2011 Editors’ Choice Award winners were announced in the January 2012 issue of the magazine.
