Hamamatsu’s New Compact High-Voltage Power Supply for PMTs Offers Extreme Stability

Hamamatsu Photonics K.K. has developed a new compact HVPS (high-voltage power supply) for photomultiplier tubes that offers over 100 times less noise and less output fluctuation than conventional compact HVPS from other suppliers. The new unit (part number: C10940) is based on Hamamatsu’s proprietary technology for transformer miniaturization. It is suitable for design into portable instruments, and its exterior shape can be customized.

The new compact HVPS will be exhibited at the JAIMA EXPO 2011, one of Japan’s largest trade shows for analytical instrumentation, from September 7 to 9 (Makuhari Messe, Chiba). Sales are scheduled to begin on October 1.
