MadgeTech’s new 101A series data loggers are made in the USA and built to provide the highest level of accuracy, reliability and performance, at an economical price. The 101A series data loggers are available in temperature, humidity, voltage, pulse, bridge/strain, event, process and state models. These innovative devices are equipped with a multiple start/stop function, up to a 10 year battery life, a 1 second reading rate or faster, ultra-high speed download capabilities, up to a 1 million readings storage capacity, battery life indicator, optional password protection, programmable high-low alarms and more. The devices may be upgraded from any internet connected computer, making the process simple and convenient.

Using the MadgeTech data logger software, starting, stopping and downloading is easy. Graphical, tabular and summary data is provided for analysis and can be viewed in a variety of units. Data may also be exported to Excel for further calculations.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
