KM-Flow - Efficient Packaging with MFC Technology

KM-Flow is the new WITT gas mixer with digital mass flow controllers (MFC) for packaging using a protective atmosphere in the food industry (Modified Atmosphere Packaging = MAP). Combined with permanent gas analysis, you receive online quality control for optimum packaging quality and reduce your gas consumption by up to 30%.

Depending on the model, the KM-Flow mixes two or three gases. The digital mass flow controllers (MFC) meter the selected gas mixture with highest precision and reliability.

A highly efficient packaging workflow can be realised with the innovative KM-Flow with MFC technology. In combination with an analysis instrument that continually measures the gas concentration in the packaging during the packing process, the KM-Flow can adjust the gas ratio and gas mixture flow rate to optimize the process. The result: maximization of the packaging quality along with a minimization of the gas consumption. Thus, the WITT gas mixing system helps to reduce costs and at the same time minimizes the uncontrolled escape of CO2 protecting employees.

The KM-Flow is easily operated by touch screen. Freely programmable gas mixtures can now be selected at the touch of a button or by barcode reader. Another advantage of the MFC technology: At all times the user has full overview of the exact mixing ratio, the flow rate of the mixed gas as well as the gas consumption. The digital data-bus also makes evaluation and documentation of the measuring data easier. You comfortably receive full transparency for your packaging process.

The KM-Flow offers highest flexibility. Naturally, the gas mixing system is suitable for all types of packaging machines. Thanks to the MFC technology, it is easy to configure and suit your individual needs.

WITT has a lot of experience with using mass flow controllers. For example, this technology has been used for supplying burners in the glass industry for many years. Of course, the KM-Flow gas mixing systems are certified according to ISO 22000 for food safety and the EG-Directive 1935/2004. Besides the food industry, the KM-Flow with MFCs can also be used in further applications.
