The new SL coupling series is fabricated from high-tech materials in combination with uniquely plated surfaces. This permits weight to be reduced by up to 60 % in comparison to a standard series coupling. A coupling rated for a torque limit of up to 160 Nm weighs only 370 gram and has a 0.8 * 10-3 kgm2 moment of inertia. This ratio of torque rating to dimensions and weight is currently unique.
There are currently no other comparable safety couplings on the market which can guaran-tee this power density. This series of couplings includes 4 sizes. The series begins with safe torque limit ratings of 5 Nm and extends to far beyond 700 Nm.
