New Hall Effect Current Sensor Designer Kit

PREMO launches a new Hall Effect sensors designer´s kit which integrates a set of different sensors from 6-300A. Development engineers can use the wide range of PREMO sensors in different applications.

The kit includes 19 functional samples of current sensors, open and closed loop, ready to use:
  • HCT-A05 Series: Closed Loop 1:1000. 25-35A. Series included in the HCT DK KIT: HCT-25A05 y HCT-35A05
  • HCT-AP Series: Closed Loop Hall Effect Current Transducers. 50-200A.  Series included in the HCT DK KIT: HCT-50AP, HCT-100AP, HCT-200AP
  • HCT-DS5 Series: Closed Loop Hall Effect Sensors. 6-50A. Series included in the HCT DK KIT: HCT-25DS5
  • HCT-DSR5 Series: Closed Loop Hall Effect Current Transducers. 6-50A. Series included in the HCT DK KIT: HCT-06DSR5, HCT-25DSR5
  • HCT-LP Series: Closed Loop 1:2000. 100-200A. Series included in the HCT DK KIT: HCT-100LP.
  • HCT-PX5 Series: Closed Loop 2:1000 Voltage Output. 10-30A. Series included in the HCT DK KIT: HCT-10PX5, HCT-30PX5
  • HCT-BP1 Series. Open Loop Voltage Output Sensor. 100-600A. Series included in the HCT DK KIT: HCT-100BP1.

FUSE SIZING CONSIDERATIONS FOR HIGHER EFFICIENCY MOTORS

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
