Miniature Bellows Coupling with Conical Clamp, Model MKS up to 150, 000 RPM

The company R+W, headquartered in Klingenberg, Germany, presents the new model MKS - the most recent member in its product line of miniature bellows couplings (MK). This coupling's attachment via a special conical hub makes it well suited for very high speeds up to 150 000 RPM. The extremely high speed rating is made possible by pre-centering, by the clamping hub's very smooth running accuracy, by highly precise fabrication of the metal bellows and by the backlash-free principle of R+W couplings.

Standard balance quality ratings of 6.3 and 2.5 are possible. The coupling's symmetric structure also permits Q 1 dynamic balancing in special cases. The model MKS is designed for torque loads of 0.1 to 10 Nm and shaft diameters from 1 to 28 mm.

R+W, the coupling's manufacturer, has even made disassembly of this new mod-el's conical bushing easy by virtue of an extraction thread as a standard feature.
