A winning combination of high strength materials a durable design, quick and efficient nozzle changes along with greater operator control are just some of the key benefits of the new Saffire Elite cutter from Murex Welding Products.  Its introduction underlines the company's ability to offer the market a technically advanced product that puts reliability and operator comfort first in oxy-fuel cutting and heating applications. 

Suitable for oxygen/acetylene and oxygen/propane cutting, the Saffire Elite Cutter has performance enhancing technical features including a drop forged brass cutting body for superior strength compared with standard brass bar produced products.    Precision machined seats ensure a perfect fit between the cutter and nozzle and there is also an increased surface area for superior heat dispersion during the cutting process.  Hard silver soldered joints provide resistance to high working temperatures. 

The triangulated stainless steel seamless tubes are manufactured from Grade 304 steel to reduce the heat transfer to the operator and to increase the torch's durability. The twin O ring system gives greater control of the cutting stream whilst the positive cutting oxygen valve, with progressive bleed, ensures smooth starts. 

The Saffire Elite has an ergonomic and extremely well balanced design with increased comfort and grip for both left and right-handed operators.  The large collar is very strong and the handle assembly is produced from extruded aluminium grade 6061. This ensures giving greater durability and strength. The stainless steel 304 grade trim valves, which adjust the gas flow, are large and easy to grip when wearing leather gauntlets.   

The new Murex Saffire Elite Cutter continues the long-standing tradition of the nozzle mix design with the quality, safety and reliability synonymous with the Saffire name.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
