Wolfson MEMS Microphones Suit Mobile Phones
Wolfson's range of digital silicon micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) microphones suit portable applications such as mobile phones, laptops, media players, cameras and navigation devices. The company's digital MEMS microphones are said to combine low power consumption, excellent audio capture, superior signal-to-noise (SNR) ratio, enhanced sensitivity tolerance and a miniature, low-profile package.
The WM7210 and WM7220 digital MEMS microphones will complement Wolfson's high-volume range of analogue MEMS microphones. Based on Wolfson's proprietary CMOS/MEMS membrane technology, the digital devices will deliver high reliability and performance, and can withstand the high temperatures needed for automated flow solder assembly, which can damage conventional microphones.
