Ethernet Switches Power Up To Eight End Devices

Aaxeon, a developer and supplier of device networking and industrial communication products, has announced the release of the latest models in the Lanolinx line of Industrial Ethernet switches. The LNP-1002GN model builds upon the existing Lanolinx range by adding the capability to power up to eight end devices via Power over Ethernet (PoE). The LNP-1002GN has eight 10/100TX ports and two combo ports. These combo ports can either be 10/100/1000TX or Gigabit fibre using an SFP (small form factor pluggable) module.

This configuration provides the user with the flexibility to use fibre or copper ports for the up-link. Each of the eight 10/100TX ports supports the 802.3af PoE standard and can provide up to 15W at 48V DC. The LNP-1002GN is a managed switch that supports features such as Port Trunking, GVRP, LLDP, in addition to standard management features link IGMP, VLAN and QoS. The device also features the Aaxeon ring that supports a 20ms recovery time. The standard model temperature range is -10C to 70C, with an extended temperature model for -40C to 80C.
