Five New Models Added To 3M's PPE Range

The company 3M has added five new products to its range of personal protective equipment (PPE), including the 3M Noise Indicator NI-100, which provides a guide to noise-hazard levels. The company has developed three stylish additions to the 3M Premium Eye Protection range: 3M1200E Premium Eyewear, which is a lightweight half-frame style that combines safety eyewear with edgy styling and a solid performance; 3M Fuel X2 Premium Eyewear, which blends bold new grooved styling with comfort features for improved fit; and 3M Refine 300 Premium Eyewear, which has been designed specifically to suit the smaller facial profiles of women.

The 3M Noise Indicator NI-100 is a lightweight clip-on product that provides health and safety managers with a quick and simple guide to potential noise-hazard levels - with an LED light that flashes green when exposed to ambient noise levels below 85db(A) and red for noise levels above 85dB(A), when hearing protective equipment must be worn.

The final new introduction completes the 3M S-Series hoods and headcovers range, designed for use with 3M powered and supplied air respirators. The S-855E hood offers head, face, neck and shoulder coverage with increased chemical resistance. It also provides eye and face protection to EN166, liquid splash and low-energy impact (grade F).

Designed for protection and comfort, this range can be a highly cost-effective choice for some high disposal-rate environments. Just the soiled-hood fabric is replaced when required, while the head harness and air ducting can be re-used. Benefits of the range include excellent field of vision, improved air-flow distribution, comfort and coverage combined with eye and face protection and an Assigned Protection Factor (APF) of 40.
