Streampix 4 Allows Multi-Camera Acquisition

Alrad has announced that it is offering Streampix 4 digital video recording software, which can be used to view, control and acquire from multiple cameras simultaneously using just one interface. Streampix 4's user interface provides a complete management console for cameras, which can simplify the setup, control and acquisition from any number and type of cameras, both locally and remotely connected.

Streampix 4 can support an infinite number of cameras. The number of cameras supported is limited by a condition where the combined data rate of the cameras exceeds the PCI bus bandwidth or processor capabilities of the computer.

Features of Streampix 4 include: compatibility with Windows XP and Vista (32 and 64 bit); support for 100+ camera lines; works with any camera that has a WDM driver; record data from up to 16 cameras on a single computer; record directly to RAM for ultra-high-speed capture; and record to sequence file on disk (raw or compressed).

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
