Axiomtek Launches Digital Signage Platform

Axiomtek has released the DSA-146, its large-size advertising digital signage platform with 46-in full HD wide TFT LCD. The DSA-146 is designed to be installed in any public or commercial space to effectively convey digital content such as commercial, announcement, news and information, operating 24/7 as a non-stop service. The platform combines low-power Intel Celeron M 575 2.0 GHz or high-performance Intel Core2 Duo T9400 2.53GHz processor with Intel GM45 chipset to deliver good computing power and enhance graphic capability. Its pluggable module architecture design is said to ease system configuration and maintenance. The DSA-146 is said to be ideal for a range of applications, including: shopping malls, corporate, education, hospitality, religious organisations, banks, transportation, retail stores, restaurants, theatres and more. For the DSA-146, Axiomtek has introduced pluggable module architecture design to advance system reliability and scalability. Users can slot-in and out the pluggable module, therefore maintenance and upgrading CPU, DRAM and HDD is said to be easier and faster than before. For system stability, this fanless unit can self-diagnose LCD life and detect external temperature. The function of the LCD video alive detection can determine if communication between the LCD and system board is working normally. The built-in sensor is able to detect outdoor sunlight in order to adjust LCD colour/backlight automatically. For green power concern, the optional motion detection sensor can switch LCD off or on based on human foot traffic. Furthermore, the DSA-146 adopts 46-in wide TFT LCD with full high-definition 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, which generates high-quality images. An optional touch screen is also available. For storage capacity, the digital signage unit is outfitted with built-in 1GB DDR3 DRAM plus 80GB SATA HDD. More features include VGA or DVI out, four USB 2.0 and audio (4W x 2 built-in side facing speaker).
