With the modular system for line and room gantries from SCHUNK, the competence leader for clamping technology and gripping systems, users and system integrators can reduce their project planning, assembly and commissioning costs for gantries up to 50%. Instead of individually configurating each axis system during design of assembly and handling stations, the user can choose the matching gantry solutions from a vast standard program from the innovative family-owned company. Every mechanical connection element and the energy feedings of the subassemblies are pre-assembled and ready for installation.

The modular system includes pneumatically and electrically driven solutions, and covers the most common requirements. Stroke lengths of the pneumatic horizontal axes are graduated in 100 mm steps from 300 mm to 1500 mm. The pneumatic vertical axis are graduated from 25 mm to 225 mm. The end positions can be continuously adjusted, and the maximum load capacity amounts to 5 kg. The electrically driven axis can be freely programmed, and has further stroke graduations. The stroke lengths lie between 500 mm and 1500 mm, the maximum load optionally at 10 kg or 20 kg. Horizontal axes are equipped with a toothed belt drive, vertical ones with a spindle drive. On option, they are supplied with a ready assembled motor or without one.
