Classic Inductive Sensors

The principles of inductive measurement are used in many different variations. This includes inductive proximity switches that simply issue switching signals, sensors that continuously detect the distance to a metal object, or sensors that work with a defined target object. All models have one or more coils, and a wear-free measurement design that ensures a long service life. The sensors are often used to control, position and check processes in a variety of industrial environments.

Five fundamentally different product lines provide for a broad application spectrum, from simple automation tasks to complex quality assurance processes. Inductive sensors from Micro-Epsilon help to solve many different applications by offering customers the choice between plunger or measuring sleeve. Conventional LVDT sensors use a plunger or a probe tip, whose position the sensor captures without any contact. induSENSOR LDR models work in a similar way, and their small footprint makes them the obvious choice where space is restricted. Hydraulic cylinders, for example, use the EDS series, with the target tube integrated into the piston.

The VIP principle is extremely flexible and only requires a ring target around the sensor, which could be a customer component, bracket or similar.

If none of the above models suit, custom modifications can be made.
