Virtual Showroom Shows Alfa Laval Products in 3D

Alfa Laval has revealed that customers can now obtain 3D interactive previews of new products for the energy, environment and food industries on the re-launched Virtual Showroom. The Virtual Showroom, which is viewable at Alfa Laval's website, currently displays seven of the company's latest products. Using 3D imagery, the showroom provides visitors with a 360deg overview of each product accompanied by concise details of each product's features and benefits.

The Virtual Showroom is available in 50 country/language versions and includes features such as films, customer testimonials and downloads for the company's products. Typical of these is the Aldec G3 Decanter, which enables sewage treatment plants to process 10 per cent more sludge while consuming up to 40 per cent less energy compared to the previous version. Another product launch designed to save energy costs is the Brew 2001 brewery separator.

Equipped with the E-drive, Alfa Laval said the Brew 2001 can save large breweries around EUR25,000 (GBP21,250) per year in energy costs. The Compabloc 120 is another example of Alfa Laval technology being used to reduce energy consumption and cut CO2 emissions. One Canadian refinery has cut annual fuel costs and slashed carbon emissions by replacing bulky shell-and-tube heat exchangers with compact Compabloc 120 heat exchangers.
