Non-Destructive Measurement of Protective Coatings

Fischer has introduced a cavity probe to measure thin coatings non-destructively inside difficult-to-access accessible cavities such as girders, stiffeners or holms. The V3FGA06H probe - especially designed for the automotive industry - has a particularly curved slim shape and a small, flexible attached probe head. The probe therefore fits through small openings in a car body to measure coating thickness at areas that were previously inaccessible.

Due to the flexible probe head's smart kinematics, a precise placing and measurement is guaranteed, whether in 'blind' mode or on bevelled areas. The V3FGA06H cavity probe is compatible with the FMP-gauges from Fischer. The probe can be used with the Dualscope FMP100 instrument to provide professional quality control.
