Nord Details Industrial Gear Unit Capabilities

Large gear unit supplier Nord Drivesystems offers high-performance industrial power transmission solutions for elevated torque and power ratings. Large-scale gear units are used in conveying applications for chain or belt conveyors, freight lifts, agitators and more. Nord supplies complete drive systems including a motor, brake and clutch. Users can select any standard motor and choose from a range of brake and clutch types.

The systems are available with a frame or a swing base. In some applications, industrial gear units from Nord can replace or complement the large-scale gear units. These additions to Nord's portfolio provide torques between 20,000 and 200,000Nm. Nord offers industrial gears rated 90,000Nm and above in the Unicase housing.

This design ensures maximum resistance against radial and axial loads, since all bearing seats are integrated into a single-piece gearcase. Users can select from a range of modular gear units and components, and easily adapt the configuration to specific application requirements for a maximum output of up to 1MW.
