Igus E-Chains Suit Heavy Duty Applications

Igus offers a range of products to meet energy chain requirements, including E-Chains, which are manufactured from polymer materials enabling them to be used in almost all application areas. The polymer materials used in Igus E-Chains ensure that they can withstand damp, dirt, temperature extremes and swarf without sustaining damage to either themselves or the cables they carry and therefore minimise machine downtime.

The heavy duty E-Chains are corrosion resistant, ensuring a long service life. Their modular design provides a cost-effective cable-carrying solution and, once installed, comes with the Igus system guarantee.

In heavy duty applications older steel cable-carrying systems are increasingly being successfully replaced by Igus plastic E-Chains due to their suitability and ability to function in extreme conditions. E-Chains are said to be well suited for use in heavy duty applications, including: steel works; building material manufacturing; composting systems; offshore; cranes; and power plants.
