Power Supplies Target LED Lighting Manufacturers

Excelsys Technologies has announced the introduction of further models in its range of products for industrial and architectural LED lighting applications. These power supplies offer efficiencies up to 92 per cent, an extensive protection feature set and are capable of delivering up to 100W of output power in a compact package size. Four models are available in this new range. Starting at 75W output power, the LXC75 offers a constant current output and the LXD75 has a dimmable output to control LED light output.

Both models are available with output voltages between 7-214V at up to 5,000mA. For higher output power, the constant-current LXC100 and dimmable LXD100 are available. Both offer 100W output power over the voltage range 14-286V at up to 4,200mA. The Excelsys LX series offers lighting designers a high-reliability power solution with MTBF figures in excess of 2,000,000 hours, an IP67 rating, UL8750 and EN61347-1, -2, -13 compliance, plus full safety agency approvals with CE marking and RoHS compliance. Other features offered as standard on all models include a universal input from 90-305V AC, active PFC, over-voltage and short-circuit protection and an operating temperature range of -35 to +70C.

'Our newly introduced dimming feature allows the user to actively control light levels and introduces a greater energy-saving capability,' said Dermot Flynn, director of sales for Excelsys Technologies. Typical applications for the LX series of LED power supplies include street lighting, tunnel lighting, sign applications and architectural lighting solutions as well as applications in electrical 'brown' and 'white' goods.
