O-Ring Guide Provides Technical Application Data
The latest release of the James Walker O Ring Guide is now available to all industrial users and specifiers of O-ring sealing systems. Issue 6 of the guide features the full range of BS EN ISO 3601-1 rings, including aerospace sizes with tolerances. Other ranges covered are inch and equivalent metric sizes to BS 1806 and SAE AS 568, both of which are still widely referenced by industry worldwide.
Charts for BS 4518 metric sizes, JW Chart 17000 inch sizes - originally developed by James Walker for the British Royal Navy - and non-standard rings, are also provided. Of particular value to engineers will be the sections that provide general system design information and housing design details. Material properties and chemical compatibilities are included, together with a section on rapid gas decompression (RGD) and recommended RGD-resistant elastomers.
The O Ring Guide Issue 6 is available as a download in pdf format from the James Walker website. It is also available as a 32-page printed brochure by contacting the company direct.
