Image-Capture Tool For Bright-Field Microscopy

The PL-E421 is a high-performance, low-cost microscopy camera from Scorpion Vision that is designed to capture detailed, publication-quality images. This Micro-B USB 2.0 camera features a 1/3in colour 1.3megapixel sensor and can provide 28 frames per second at full resolution. The sensor features a 3.2um pixel pitch and has 60dB of dynamic range. Coupled with the Pixelink Uscope Essentials software package, the PL-E421 becomes a productive image-capture tool for bright-field microscopy.

Features include annotation, measurement tools and the ability to export to Excel to manage and archive captured images. Capture OEM application software is provided as a free download and can be used to realise the full functionality of the camera. The camera also offers the ability to capture and save AVI movies, set user-defined regions of interest and save descriptors to either the host system or to the camera itself.
