Steel Products for Use in Hot or Corrosive Areas
Napoleon Engineering Services (NES) has introduced a number of high-temperature, corrosion-resistant steels for applications in the food and beverage, medical and pulp and paper industries. Compared with standard bearing steels, the XD15NW, AMS 5898 and BG42 steel products offer excellent fatigue strength, good corrosion resistance and high ductility.
The new steels can be used in engines or bearings that reside in high-temperature or corrosive environments. On average, NES's lead times for custom bearings range from eight to 12 weeks, with manufacturing capabilities encompassing a number of speciality ring materials, cages, rolling elements and coatings for use in a range of applications.
