Data Logger Allows Calibration Chamber Monitoring

The RTDTemp101A temperature data logger is suited for use in calibration chamber monitoring, research and development, process validation and other applications in which high accuracy is critical. The RTDTemp101A has an accuracy of +/-0.05C, a 10-year battery life, a multiple start/stop function, ultra-high-speed download capability, 670,000 reading storage capacity, optional memory wrap, precision RTD sensing element, battery-life indicator, optional password protection and programmable high-low alarms.

Using the Madgetech Software, starting, stopping and downloading from the RTDTemp101A is simple and easy. Graphical, tabular and summary data is provided for analysis and data can be viewed in C, F, K or R. The data can also be automatically exported to Excel for further calculations. Madgetech offers free firmware upgrades for the life of the product so that data loggers already deployed in the field can grow with new technological developments. Units do not need to be returned to the factory for upgrades as the user can do this automatically from any PC.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
