Seminar Shows How to Improve Pipe-Welding Skills

Lincoln Electric will demonstrate how to improve pipe-welding processes at a free Pipe Mill Welding Seminar, hosted at the company's corporate headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, from 23-27 May 2011. The five-day seminar runs from 8am to 5pm each day. Pipe-mill welding engineers, welders, operating and quality personnel are encouraged to attend.

Topics will include: Latest advances in pipe-welding equipment; Consumable selection; Identification and correction of weld defects; and the effect of welding essential variables, including that of heat input on weld-metal properties. Skills learned from hands-on demonstrations of multi-arc welding techniques, equipment and consumables will be able to be used immediately. Tours of Lincoln's manufacturing facilities, RandD Tech Centre and Automation Division will also be conducted.
