Autotech Expands its Robotic Simulation Services

Autotech Controls is expanding its range of robotic simulation services, for application in the automotive, airports, manufacturing, logistics and food and drink sectors. According to Autotech, it is the only UK controls firm to offer robotic simulation and will soon be the largest supplier of virtual manufacturing services among the UK's system integrators.

The Luton-based company has 15 years' experience in control design, installation and support. It provides services to blue-chip clients worldwide including BAE Systems, Bentley, Cadbury, Ford, Gate Gourmet, Jaguar Land Rover, Kellogg's and Procter and Gamble.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays. When sizing fuses between 125% and 150% of the motor nameplate current, several advantages, including ease of coordination with an overload device, a smaller disconnect, and increased short circuit protection from a lower fuse rating, can be achieved.
