Automated Milling System Uses Laser Diffraction
Following recent joint development, Malvern Instruments' Insitec on-line particle size analyser will be exhibited on the Sturtevant booth at Interphex 2011, to be held 29-31 March, in New York. The Insitec will be displayed together with a Sturtevant Mill and Schenck Accurate Feeder as the first-time introduction of ARTMiS, an Automated Real Time Milling System.
This combination offers high control of the milling process, using laser diffraction to monitor particle size in real time. Simple closed-loop functionality provides feed-rate adjustments for consistent product quality and improved yield, without operator involvement and regardless of the raw feed variations or mill conditions. Malvern experts will be available on the booth to discuss individual requirements.
