PCL Shows Nitrogen Inflators For Automotive Sector

PCL will highlight new and advanced nitrogen and digital inflation products for the automotive, transportation and petrol forecourt markets at this year's Automechanika. These will be demonstrated alongside PCL's portfolio of tyre-inflation products and air tools, including the new Qube - a small, fast digital inflator. Automechanika will also see the launch of PCL's new electronic platform, to be installed in all newly manufactured electronic inflation devices.

PCL's Nitrogen Inflator provides N2 fill and Air to N2 Conversion for up to four tyres, while its Nitrogen Generator can be used in conjunction with any inflation device, such as a handheld or fixed digital. Other products in the nitrogen range include: the Nitrogen Analyser - designed to read the percentage of nitrogen in tyres and remove the need to convert the oxygen percentage into the figure for nitrogen; and the Accura Mobile - a space-saving solution for nitrogen inflation of large tyres in tyre shops, workshops, car dealerships and transport depots where space is at a premium.

Using the foundations of the company's D50 Free-Standing Digital Tyre Inflation tower, PCL's improved D80 range is designed to meet the harsh environment of the modern petrol forecourt and has a stainless-steel casing to offer longer life. The D80 Free-standing Digital Tyre Inflation range is said to represent the safest and most simple complete tyre-inflation format, which can be used even in remote locations.

The entry-level Qube digital inflator provides the same accuracy and fast inflation speeds as all standard PCL units in a 150 x 150mm footprint. The Qube is a simple unit, without the programmability or customisation of the more expensive models, offering simplicity of use with three modes: standard inflate/deflate, tyreshop (featuring overpressure) and nitrogen (top off and complete purge).
