ATMS Distributes Navista Mobile Terminal Range

ATMS, a Birmingham-based provider of systems and hardware for the logistics market, now distributes the Navista range of mobile terminals in the UK and the Middle East. The first unit to be launched is the U900 with a built-in barcode scanner and WiFi. The unit is said to be lightweight yet rugged and is certified to a drop test of 1.2m. Options are available for GPS tracking, 2D barcode scanning and GPRS mobile communications.

An SD card slot is built in. The unit, which is priced at around GBP590, supports the standard Windows CE 5.1 operating system. The high-brightness 3.5in (8.9cm) colour touch-screen display supports on-screen signature capture as standard. ATMS provides a support service for the Navista range of equipment, with a full range of spares being held in the company's workshop.

When selecting the proper fuse for short circuit protection in motor starting applications, it is important to not only ensure that the fuse will not nuisance open during motor start up times, but also that the fuse will coordinate as required with overload relays.
