Laidler Presents Machinery Safety Seminar

The Laidler Group, a UK machinery safety and compliance consultant, is sponsoring the demonstration zone at Health and Safety '10 - Scotland. In the demo zone, Laidler Associates, which specialises in machinery safety legislation and risk assessments, will give a presentation on practical machinery safety including guarding issues. Using its virtual reality system to recreate a typical working environment, Laidler is able to demonstrate the problems that are present and how to provide safe solutions in this area.

Focusing on the practical nature of the zone, Laidler will also demonstrate how to complete and document a PUWER 98 (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 98) assessment or CE Marking to the Machinery and Low Voltage Directives. The presentation will also cover the requirements of the new Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC, in this regard. Laidler Associates will also be exhibiting at the event on stand number 154.

Sharing the stand is partner company, Safety Systems Technology, a machinery safety design and installation specialist that provides a range of engineering services, from design studies through to full turnkey projects. Health and Safety '10 - Scotland takes place at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh on 15 and 16 September.
