Research Proves Efficiency Of Ion Science PIDs

A recent evaluation has proved Ion Science PID technology performs efficiently in high-humidity environments. Tests have shown Ion Science PIDs are up to twice as accurate as some of their competitors, are more consistent and give faster results. The trials evaluated a PID cell incorporating Fence Electrode Technology against one equipped with Humidity Compensation.

The data showed that when subjected to high humidity, a Fence Electrode PID is much less subject to drift, while responding and clearing out faster, resulting in fewer non-reports. To further strengthen and support the recent findings, the Ion Science Phocheck+ PID has received independent verification as the best performing PID by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (ME DEP).

The outcome of the evaluation conducted by the ME DEP led the Phocheck+ 3000 to be selected, mainly because of its fast and consistent readings. For further information, the documented report 'An Evaluation of Competing Technologies' can be obtained from Ion Science.
