Transducers Handle Mechanical Shock And Vibration

RDP Electronics has developed a range of LVDT and magnetostrictive transducers for use in the testing of vehicle suspension systems. The transducers have been designed to withstand the type of mechanical shock, vibration and the tough treatment generally meted out during testing of vehicle suspension systems under all road conditions. RDP transducers are available for vehicle suspension movement applications that involve testing of vehicle components as well as ride, handling and even load detection.

RDP has modified LVDTs to operate reliably and accurately in conditions including the presence of high levels of water and dirt, as well as being subject to vibration and shock during road testing in all weather conditions. Typically for test purposes, the LVDTs are mounted through the floor at the rear of the vehicle or through the body components at the front, and are well suited to providing measurement data derived from the range of components under test.
