12 MPixel High Speed CameraLink Machine Vision Cameras From STEMMER IMAGING

The new Falcon2 series of CameraLink machine vision cameras from Teledyne DALSA, now available from STEMMER IMAGING, offers frame rates of up to 168 frames per second with 4 MPixel resolution for high speed industrial imaging. A 12 MPixel resolution model offers a frame rate of 58 frames per second – the highest frame rate currently available at this resolution.

Featuring the same improved-performance CMOS sensors used in Teledyne DALSA’s Genie TS machine vision cameras, the series is composed of three GenICam compliant high performance models with the CameraLink machine vision interface. True global shuttering removes unwanted smear and time displacement image artifacts, making Falcon2 industrial cameras ideally suited to industrial vision applications where throughput, resolution and dynamic range matter. These include automated optical inspection for electronics manufacturing, semiconductor wafer inspection and flat panel display inspection, as well as solar panel inspection.

The Falcon2 series feature in-camera image pre-processing providing flat field correction. An extensive feature set includes programmable exposure time and frame rate via the CameraLink machine vision interface or by external hardware signals, and selectable aspect ratios (4:3 and 1:1). All three industrial camera models are housed in a remarkably compact, rugged and thermally efficient body, so they need no external cooling system.
