Acrosser Network Platforms Use Intel Processor

Acrosser Technology has introduced its AR-R5100FL 1U 19in rack-mount fanless network platforms, which include an Intel EP80579 integrated processor with Intel Quickassist Technology. Intel EP80579, also known as Tolapai, is a powerful, integrated system-on-chip solution dedicated to networking appliances that require the encryption and decryption function. A built-in algorithm provides high performance with less CPU usage.

With Acrosser core technology the AR-R5100FL provides stability in noiseless formation and ensures a longer lifetime due to no moving parts. The platform offers two CPU frequency choices, 600MHz/1.2GHz and memory support up to single-channel 4GB DDR2. By leveraging the PCI Express technology and internal Giga LAN MAC it provides total of six GbE ports. Configurable bypass functions ensure continuous operation during power interruption. An optional module, AR-B2004-X4, provides two additional RJ-45 GbE ports and two GbE SFP ports in AR-R5100FL for maximising bandwidth.

AR-R5100FL offers a security-accelerating function and power efficiency that is suitable for internet-security applications such as VPN (Virtual Private Network), Firewall and Anti-Spam mail server. System integrators can develop applications with Intel Quickassist technology to maximise performance. AR-R5100FL features include: Intel integrated system-on-chip EP80579 with Intel Quickassist technology; memory slots support up to 4GB single-channel DDR2 with ECC function; RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet option up to 8RJ-45 and 2SFP GbE; console-redirection port or two-pair bypass function controlled by hardware and software; and 16 x 2 characters LCD module.
