Monodraught Opens New Sales Office In St. Lucia

Such is the worldwide demand for energy-saving initiatives that Monodraught has opened a new Sales Office in St Lucia to serve the Caribbean. Announcing the opening, managing director Professor Terry Payne says that Monodraught has always been focused on 'Putting the Wind and Sun to Work' and St Lucia and the Windward Isles have plenty of both! He adds that this makes the region ideal for Monodraught Windcatcher natural ventilation systems and SunPipe natural daylight systems.

As with many other parts of the world, residents of St Lucia are concerned with the escalating costs of energy that is necessary to run air conditioning systems. Whilst Windcatchers have previously been installed with great success in Barbados, the new 'Caribbean office' can now also offer the Sola-boost system which, by incorporating a solar panel for energy-free fan driven operation, is able to make maximum use of the perfect combination of wind and sun.

SunPipes are also proving extremely popular for internal rooms since window blinds are often kept fully closed to keep out the intense sunlight. SunPipes however, are able to flood the interior of properties with natural light without creating uncomfortable glare or heat gains. SunPipes and Windcatchers can be fitted to new-build properties and retrofitted to existing properties (both residential and commercial) with the minimum of disturbance to roof coverings. Both have also proved to be 'hurricane-proof' under very real conditions in the many installations already carried out.
