Pocket Vibra Lite Diagnoses Machine Faults

C-Cubed has launched Pocket Vibra Lite, its entry-level, hand-held predictive-maintenance tool. Based around an ultra-rugged and waterproof unit with a high-quality colour touch-screen display, Pocket Vibra Lite takes signals from an accelerometer, positioned using a magnet mount, giving instant diagnosis of machine faults such as bearing wear, instability, out of balance, misalignment and looseness.

The instrument allows stylus-free data collection and the display shows full frequency spectrum and time waveform for acceleration (G) and ISO velocity (mm/s), plus crest factor and bearing noise (BDU), and readings can be saved as Excel files for later recall on a PC. The system can be upgraded to Pocket Vibra Pro.
