Topfilter Protects Pumps From Unwanted Debris

Johnson Pump is offering the Topfilter range of filtration products, which protects pumps from unwanted debris in the pumped media. The Topfilter filtration products are available in two ranges, four material options and 11 separate sizes, offering filtration levels down to 10 microns. The Topfilters provide the pump user with an effective yet simple method of removing debris before it can affect pump performance. Topfilters are suitable for fitting to either the suction or discharge side of the pump and can be supplied by Johnson Pump as an integral part of the pump or as a stand-alone item. Topfilters are available in single and dual filter models. The single filter, TFOV, contains a single chamber, which remains online. When the basket within the filter requires cleaning, the process line needs to be isolated in order for the filter basket to be removed. Varley Expands Its Largest Range Of Pumps

Varley Pumps , a division of the Hayward Tyler Group, has upgraded the largest pump in its range of standard double helical gear pumps. Varley offers a range of standard pumps from size 1 to size 225. As part of the upgrade, Varley has expanded its largest range to five pumps (125, 150, 175, 200 and 225). These are fully metric designs, with new seals and bearings to allow operation up to 15 bar. The latest shipment from this range was two motorised units for fuel oil transfer. The motor specification was 18.5kW 3 Phase safe area. The duty was 900 litres a minute (200 gallons a minute) at 7 bar (100psi). The pumps can be supplied Atex certified and can be custom-painted to specification. Varley Pumps manufactures: double helical gear pumps for oil transfer, processing and forced lubrication applications; and positive displacement pumps, which can be designed and manufactured in accordance with API676. The range also includes bespoke pump systems and twin set pump units.

Flex-Check Pumps Fibrous And Stringy Semi-Solids

Ingersoll Rand 's ARO Fluid Technologies business has released the Flex-Check air-operated double-diaphragm pump line. Featuring a flexible internal-check design that permits the passage of fluids with stringy or fibrous semi-solids, the new Flex-Check pump offering is suited to applications in OEM and process industries where handling fibre-filled materials can typically clog and stall pumps with standard check arrangements, for example in car washes, printing and laundry. The Flex-Check's check arrangement permits a continuous positive seal, allowing it to be mounted and operated in any of 360 degrees. Because the Flex-Check pump creates a positive seal across the check, this in turn creates suction lift that is 30 per cent higher than pumps outfitted with standard ball-type checks. Aalborg Introduces TPU Tube Pumps

Aalborg model TPU tube pumps are suitable for liquids of low to medium viscosity. Chemically resistant tubing materials and peristaltic pump head technology provide reliable, long-term pump operation. Four stainless-steel rollers (an eight roller option is available) minimise pulsation and promote longer tube life. The TPU's tube set-up, changes and replacements are quick and easy, said Aalborg. Inside diameters offered are 1/8in, 3/16in, 1/4in or 5/16in, each with a 1/16in wall thickness. The size and material of the tubing chosen, as well as the selected fixed RPMs of the motor drive, determine the flow rate. The pumped fluid never touches the pump.
