Parker Releases Conversion Kits For CCV Solutions

The Racor division of Parker Hannifin has extended its range of crankcase-ventilation (CCV) solutions with new conversion kits and fittings. Two conversion kits are available, which enable a CCV8000 assembly to be converted to a CCV12000 model, improving the filtration of harmful exhaust gases at minimum cost. To simplify the installation of the latest CCV products, Parker has developed 90deg fitting adaptors, which allow hoses to be connected to the crankcase filter quickly and easily. By installing one of the Parker Racor CCV55613-08 and CCV55613-10 conversion kits, users can increase the filter media of a CCV8000 system by 60 per cent, effectively turning it into a CCV12000 assembly. This makes it simple and affordable to achieve extra capacity in engines that are not easily accessible. The Parker Powerlift 477 medium-pressure hose has been specifically developed for the crane and lifting-equipment market. The Powerlift features two steel-wire braids and offers a combination of higher working pressure, smaller outside diameter based on compact hose construction, tight bending radius and light weight. The nitrile inner tube offers increased chemical resistance to bio oil and the outer cover is resistant to abrasion, providing longer service life and reduced overall equipment costs. The latest generation of portable hose-crimping technology from Parker Hannifin is available for GBP1 with an order of hoses and fittings. The Karrykrimp promotion enables companies with regular hose requirements to create their own leak-free, high-quality assemblies quickly and cost effectively. The system consists of a compact standalone unit, which incorporates a unitised die-train. The relevant fitting is positioned on the end of the hose and the pair can then be inserted into the unit and crimped, producing a leak-free connection. The Industrial Division of Parker Hannifin will exhibit its latest nitrogen-gas generator for the food sector at the Gulfood exhibition in Dubai, from 21-24 February 2010. Industrial nitrogen-gas generators are an alternative to traditional bottled or bulk storage nitrogen sources in applications such as modified atmosphere packaging, purging, blanketing and pressure transfer. Parker Replaces RSD Steel Parts With Peek Polymer

Parker Hannifin , based in Mainz-Kastel, Germany, has replaced the steel components of its RSD quick couplings with the Victrex Peek polymer. The company wanted to replace the components with one single injection-moulded part that reduced the number of components to be assembled and that controlled the overall production costs. The RSD couplings are used to connect and disconnect the hydraulic lines between a tractor and its various items of equipment (a trailer or a plough, for example) without using any tools. The technology of the RSD coupling allows for the completely safe connection of a male connector, whether pressurised or not, under adverse conditions, such as under a maximum pressure of 250bar (3,626psi), and withstands a return flow rate that may reach 190 litres per minute (50.2 gallons per minute) and even beyond for a few seconds at a temperature close to 120C (248F). The PV115 offers a wide assortment of output face options along with high radial load and output torque performance. The output face options have the same output face dimensions as Parker Bayside's PX series, Alpha's LP series, Neugart's PLE series, Stober's PE series, as well as standard NEMA output face dimensions. Parker-Pradifa has unveiled the HL profile series of rod seals. Their pressure-activated, cascading dynamic sealing lips, in combination with P6030, a sealing material, reduce static and dynamic friction. Compared with conventional U-rings, the Ultrathan HL rod seal can reduce friction-related losses by 30 to 70 per cent, depending on load. The resulting higher efficiency of hydraulic systems leads to significant energy savings. Friction-optimised seals for hydraulic cylinders also cut costs related to downtime and maintenance. The HL profile causes the sealing edges of the dynamic sealing lips to successively contact the mating surface as system pressure rises. This significantly reduces friction in the pressureless state and in low-pressure conditions. The sealing effect increases with the number of sealing edges. The Process Filtration Division of Parker Hannifin has launched the Nitroflow Lab: a self-contained generator that produces up to 32lpm of pure LC/MS-grade nitrogen at pressures up to 8bar. A combination of compressor, filtration and membrane separation technologies produces a continuous on-demand supply of pure nitrogen, maximising laboratory productivity. High- and low-pressure compressors are carefully matched to hollow fibre membranes to separate the clean air into a concentrated nitrogen stream. The dual-compressor generator ensures that the Nitroflow Lab has several technical advantages over all other existing LC/MS nitrogen generators. Nitrogen is produced at low pressure and is then compressed to 8bar. This is intended to ensure minimal maintenance of the system with no compressed air filter replacements or condensate.
