TELUS 4G LTE Certifies Red Lion’s IndustrialPro® Cellular Routers and RAM® 6000 Cellular RTUs

Red Lion Controls, the global experts in communication, monitoring and control for industrial automation and networking, today announced the recent availability of 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) support on the TELUS cellular network for its Sixnet® series IndustrialPro® cellular routers and RAM® 6000 cellular RTUs. As one of the fastest-growing telecommunications and largest healthcare IT providers in Canada, TELUS offers a wide range of communications products and services that include wireless, data, Internet protocol (IP), voice, television, entertainment and video.

Manufacturing and industrial organizations are transitioning from static, fixed infrastructures to dynamic, high-performance networks that serve as the platform for a growing number of connected devices across multiple locations. With 4G LTE wireless connectivity, industrial networking users can leverage increased data speeds for primary or backup WAN connectivity. LTE devices typically feature data rates up to 100 times faster than legacy 2G network technologies, making it well suited for remote sites, video surveillance applications and remote automation environments.

TURCK is now offering the option to completely shield M8 picofast ® cordsets by connecting a braided shield directly to the coupling nut. This provides a cost-effective and reliable connection with 100 percent cable and connector shielding, which protects against electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.

The 3 and 4-pin cordsets are available with flexlife ® PVC or PUR jacketed cable. All connectors deliver IEC IP 67 protection.

The M8 picofast line, like most TURCK cordsets, provides male or female, straight and right angle connectors, standard and custom lengths, and pigtails or extensions. Fully encapsulated mating receptacles are also offered, completing the system.
