Oriental Motor USA is pleased to announce the expansion of our popular BMU Series brushless DC motor and driver package, now including a 200 W (1/4 HP) package. The 200 W (1/4 HP) brushless DC motor is available in round shaft or geared type with inch or metric output shafts. The 200 W (1/4 HP) package is available with 200~240 VAC Single-Phase or Three-Phase input power. Single-Phase versions coming soon. The new 200 W (1/4 HP) brushless DC motor produces about 50% more starting torque than the 120 W (1/6 HP) motor and about 30% more continuous running torque, creating significant advantages for adoption into larger load application. The flat speed torque “continuous duty” of the 200 W (1/4 HP) motor is now extended to 3,000 r/min, with a total speed torque range of up to 4,000 r/min. When combined with a gear head, these advantages become even greater with maximum output torque now capable of reaching 610 lb-in (70 N•m).

The BXII replaces our popular BX Series and now offers an all new driver incorporating a built-in controller with all the features necessary for speed control, position and torque control. The BXII Series now provides the highest level of speed control, up to 4,000 r/min with a speed regulation of +0.05% and is available from 30 W up to 400 W, in round shaft, parallel shaft gearheads or the hollow shaft flat gearhead and electromagnetic brake options. The marine industry is no exception as visual and audible signaling devices are required for boat warnings. The State of Alaska Department of Fish and Game contacted Pfannenberg to install a flashing sounder to replace the warning alarm on one of their boats.
