Cambridge Viscometers Help Asian Company to Control Coatings on Very Fine Wire

Image
An Asian manufacturer of fine wire has used viscometers from Cambridge Viscosity to control the coating on wire that measures 30-300 micron in diameter. By controlling the coating viscosity in-process, the wire manufacturer is able to control the uniformity of the insulation on the wire, which is used in electric motors, transformers and electric coils in appliances, cars and other powered devices.

EMKA Launches Externally Fitted Flush Door Hinge for Applications Such as Street Furniture

Image
EMKA’s 1056 program externally fitted flush door hinge is designed for applications such as street furniture and industrial electronic/electrical control-rack cabinets. The screw-on 1056 hinge features M5 stud fixing and a lift-off design, which EMKA claims aids installation of large equipment such as server sub-racks.

EMKA Pull Program 1091

Image
Compared with ours pulls (No. 1091-103-01, 1091-103-02 and 1091-103-03) the new parts have essential advantages: Due to the screw fastening, door gauges between 0.8 and 7 mm can be covered. Due to the foamed sealing, a high protection class is achieved (from IP54 to IP65). The fixing of variant B is effected internally by means of the fixing material included in the delivery, which makes a removal from outside impossible. Furthermore, both variants allow an application of the company logo by multicolour pad printing.

Counterbalancing Spring-Loaded Hinge PROGRAM 1715

Image
EMKA has set up new tools for the developed and well established POS hinge for chests (e.g. refrigerating chests). This hinge is freely obtainable and available for different spring loads. The hinge can be regulated according to the weight of the lid (of the chest) by means of an adjusting nut in the socle, so that the lid remains in any position. The covers that are included in delivery can be put on easily after assembling of the hinge. The spring-loaded hinge for a lid weight of about 6 kg – 23 kg is now available.

Acoustic Chemometer Enables Measurement of Corrosive Fluids in Process Industry

Image
Acosense claims that its clamp-on Acospector acoustic chemometer product makes it possible for those working in the process industries to measure properties in fluids that are otherwise seen as difficult or impossible. The Acospector is applied on the outside of the pipes, and installation can be made during full production and measure such properties as total solids, viscosity, density, concentration, particle size distribution, mass flow and flow. According to Acosense, the instrument can measure properties in fluids that are otherwise difficult or impossible to analyse, such as those that are corrosive, opaque, or have high viscosity or concentration.

Following recent HSE safety and health-awareness days for the bakery industry, Nederman is offering free site surveys to companies considering dust control. Nederman offers a range of Atex-compliant products and design consultants that are trained and aware of legal requirements and best-practice solutions.

Kistler Offers Process Data Collectors with Enhanced Long-Term Analysis Capability

Image
Kistler has introduced the Type 5630M series of process data collectors, which are suitable for use in powertrain applications, such as engine seat and guide, transmission or axle assembly. The data collector is designed to offer manufacturers and OEM machine builders enhanced process visualisation, manufacturing data storage and long-term analysis capabilities. Its customisable dashboard interface allows it to be configured for automotive-component manufacturing process operations, as well as plastics and medical process data-collection applications, where long-term data storage is required. For the benefit of statistical process control (SPC), the Kistler Type 5630M series includes all the processes needed for long-term viewing — one of these being the ability to assign a unique part or serial number to each data file, which allows all historical process data to be quickly searched, located and viewed.
