The latest version of the Yokogawa DXAdvanced DAQStation range of data acquisition (DAQ) and display stations - the DXAdvanced R4 - features a number of new enhancements. These include an advanced security option that provides 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, multi-batch capabilities, a Profibus interface and the new DAQManager data management software. The advanced security option (AS1) incorporates all the features required to provide secure electronic records to comply with the US Food and Drug Administration's 21 CFR Part 11 standard, including controlled system access, active directory password management, electronic signatures and an audit trail. The DXAdvanced R4 has evolved from Yokogawa's paperless recorder technology to become a complete DAQ station with a built-in panel. The Yokogawa AQ2210 Series is a new version of the company's multi-application test system. It is a modular system designed to offer a range of measurements on optical devices and optical transmission systems. The product is a successor to Yokogawa's established AQ2200 system and is 100 per cent backwards compatible with the earlier product. New features include enhancements to remote-control capabilities, multi-user functionality, macro programming and remote viewer software. The AQ2210 Series offers a choice of three-slot (AQ2211) or nine-slot (AQ2212) mainframes, each of which can be used with any of the existing AQ2200 Series modules and remote commands. Each mainframe incorporates a bright display with an added 'print screen' key, USB, GP-IB and Ethernet interfaces, and an additional front-panel USB storage interface. Yokogawa Electric Corporation has announced the release of Centum VP R4.02, an enhanced version of the company's integrated production control system. This version of Centum VP has been enhanced to help Yokogawa's customers improve productivity. It includes a more intuitive human machine interface (HMI) and strengthened consolidated alarm management. For increased reliability, a Foundation fieldbus engineering function is provided to improve reliability and allows full use of the intelligent capabilities of field devices. Centum VP R4.02 features closer linkage with Yokogawa's latest safety instrumented system - version R2.03.00 of the Yokogawa Prosafe-RS SIS.
