Raytheon Selects Windchill PLM Software

PTC has announced that Raytheon has placed an order to standardise on PTC 's Windchill PLM software across the company as the cornerstone of its global product development management strategy. Raytheon, an aerospace and defence company, selected Windchill to replace its enterprise product data management system. Windchill enables Raytheon to create a common global collaborative environment for product design, development and production in support of its design anywhere, build anywhere, support anywhere business initiative. The use of a single enterprise-wide PLM interface will enable the company to quickly deliver new products to market. Windchill can help standardise common product development processes including change and configuration management, streamline product data and workflows, and provide immediate access to product information across the organisation. Smith & Wesson Uses Enovia PLM

Smith And Wesson , manufacturer of firearms and safety/security products, has chosen Enovia PLM to improve the efficiency of its product design and development process. This will enable employees across the globe to collaborate on designs and share up-to-date product information. Smith and Wesson will use Enovia to create a centralised database allowing common parts identification and more efficient capture and reuse of its institutional knowledge. Initially started as a process to replace the company's paper-based systems, Smith and Wesson opted to go forward with Enovia Engineering Central to manage all of its engineering change requests and orders (ECR/ECO), automate business processes and create a centralised database.
